- Rick believes everyone in the the 199th deserves to earn a living wage. He will fight to increase the minimum wage in Pennsylvania.
- Healthcare is a right and it needs to be more affordable and accessible for all of us.
- As a former teacher, Rick will fight for fair public school funding and will listen to our teachers, administrators, and support staff.
- Rick will work to preserve our farms, fields, streams, and woodlands throughout the district.
- He will support our veterans with improved veteran programs and the healthcare they deserve.
Teacher, Coach, Advocate
Throughout Rick's career, he has worked to serve the community. He started his career as a social studies teacher in our public school system. He was an advocate for students with special needs. He served as an administrator for the PA Association for the Blind.
After retirement, Rick stepped up during a worker shortage to help deliver mail for the U.S. Postal Service.
Personal Information
- Rick is from a large family that knows the value of hard work. His parents were a nurse and a Teamster.
- He is the father of three children, stepfather to three children, and grandfather to two children.
- Rick proudly coached high school, college football, and basketball.
- He was an accomplished athlete in the NFL and NCAA Division I.
- He's a lifelong Pennsylvania hunter.
- He's been an active parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, in Carlisle, for 30 years.
